lyrics

I awoke too early
Now the world had no mood

People sat like
Hole-punch holes

And newsreaders
Strained to read the
Colorless confetti

Waiting on the corner
With my summer summer shoes
And invisible condition
And everything to do

I awoke to quickly
Now the city seemed to move

Just like a silky creosote
Or little gray dogs
Trained to smoke at the ringing of a bell

Standing in a doorway
With my fishing tale bruise
And invisible condition
And nothing much to lose

I would kiss a stranger
It would be the strangest kiss
Like we awoke too sudden
So we just could not exist

I awoke too early
To a world blanked in snow

Swirls of confetti
Clung to the wind

The colorless eddies
Spiraling in through the
People-shaped holes

Standing on the kerbside
With my summer summer shoes
And invisible condition
Who's of very little use

I would kiss a stranger
It would be the strangest kiss
Like we awoke too early
And were captured in the drifts
